Martian Dynamics is a privately held systems house in Leander, Texas. We design the machines that make a second world usable — not the show, the infrastructure.

The company sits on the Texas corridor between design studios and test stands. Chassis, engines, and buses are cut here. Dust chambers and night-simulation live next to the drafting table. We do not separate the drawing from the part.

Akhil Kolla founded the company as chief designer — the premise being that form on a spacecraft is a reliability problem, and that lunar dust is a load case, not a texture.

Infrastructure, not spectacle

The hardware that matters is the hardware that still works on Tuesday. We do not design for the livestream.

Dust is a load case

Lunar regolith is not a texture. It is a mechanical, electrical, and human-factors problem. We start there.

Service in a suit

If two people cannot open it, inspect it, and close it again, it does not fly. Complexity belongs on the ground.

Texas, then vacuum

We qualify here — heat, dust, night-simulation, the stand — before we ask a vehicle to earn its keep off Earth.

    Founded

    Martian Dynamics opens in Leander. A design studio and a machine shop in the same building.

  2. 2025

    Mare chassis

    First rolling prototype. Dust-chamber campaign against Apollo-sample abrasion data.

  3. 2026

    Vector & Tether

    Pathfinder engines on the stand. First Tether bus in the high bay.

  4. 2027

    Surface demo

    Mare mobility demonstration under a partner lander contract.

  5. 2028

    First dedicated flight

    Vector flies a dedicated smallsat. Tether demonstrates LEO-to-GEO transfer.
